Hulu confirmed for PS3, 360

4.7
Streaming video service provider Hulu has today confirmed a $9.99 per month subscription-based model called Hulu Plus and, next to the likes of iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, it’s coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

First in line this time around is Sony; the service launches on the PS3 as soon as next month, allowing viewers to stream TV shows old and new in 720p quality.

Xbox 360 owners will have to wait however. According to Xbox Live’s director of programming Larry Hryb, Microsoft is taking its time in order to offer a customized experience.

“… it will not be a port, but rather a custom experience that leverages the Xbox LIVE community features,” Hryb writes on his blog.

Hulu is still a US-only service. However: “There are more shows to license, more countries to expand into, and more product features to build. And we will,” CEO Jason Kilar assures.
