BO3 Dev: Shadow Of Evil Is ‘The Biggest Zombies Map We’ve Ever Done’

4.7
One of the most exciting things for most fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is that there is going to be a rather impressive zombie mode included in the game. Zombies have been a staple of what the Black Ops series brings to the table. With Black Ops 3, however Treyarch believes it has managed to offer something even bigger and better and badder. The new zombie mode kicks off with the name Shadow Of Evil.

Treyarch sat down with GamesRadar+ and talked about this new mode and what they have planned moving forward. It’s the biggest Zombies map we’ve ever done,” enthused producer Jason Blundell. “It’s large in terms of complexity, but also in verticality – there are so many ways to move around the city. Canals, scaffolding… there’s even a tram transit system”. The undead are said to be marching through the city, which means players will be taking them on in a number of different settings, such as strip clubs and a magician’s workshop.

Not only is the map going to be that much bigger for this mode, but there are going to be features that haven’t popped up in other Black Ops games. This title will include the ability to craft weapons using the detritus that is laying around the battlefield. The big zombie mode is just the latest piece of good news for a game that is also said to be offering plenty in its season pass and goodies for veterans of the series. Combined, this information is getting people pretty excited. Those same people won’t have to wait long as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is due out on November 6, 2015.

Daniel-
Synybun Bigger maps make zombies way more fun. Being cramped up so its super easy to get trapped in a corner is just boring.

yea but not many people liked tranzit , and that was a huge map , i hope this one is way better

They mainly didn't like it because of how you had to get around. Run in the fog, wait for a bus, or use the teleport. I've liked all but a couple of their maps, and that's only because I couldn't find my way around them. Hopefully it's a good size, but not jumbled around and confusing.

Call me old fashioned but I preferred when the maps were not large. Maps like Moon and Call of the Dead were the perfect size, not too small but not too big. Smalls maps such as Nacht der Untoten were fun since it gives you more of a challenge, smaller maps, more of a chance of being killed. Really didn't like the bigger maps in Black Ops 2 because you couldn't really get the feel of it unless you were really trying hard. Die Rise and Buried were a good size but then Mob of the Dead felt overkill. I just hope they find the perfect size with one of the DLC's. Hard to imagine the first map will be fun if it's supposedly the biggest they've ever made.

I honestly can't wait for this! Sounds like they're really making zombies big in this one. Which is good to see, I think the zombies community has sort of been left out of the spotlight previously. But now its being brought into the light and I am excited to see what else they bring out in the near future.
