Fallout 4 on Xbox One Has a File Size Just Under 30GB

The Xbox store page for Fallout 4 has updated their listing, now giving a 28.12 GB file size for what will no doubt be one of fall’s biggest games. This is still much bigger than any previous Bethesda game on the HD consoles. Fallout 3 was 5.48 GB, Fallout: New Vegas was 4.75 GB, and their most recent game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was 3.68 GB on the Xbox 360.

These file sizes may not reflect patches released post-launch, as some day one patches have been known to enlarge the base file size significantly such as Batman: Arkham Knight‘s over 3 GB day one patch on PlayStation 4. Whether Fallout 4 will contain a day one patch remains to be seen.

For big named games that are being released on the Xbox One and PS4, that is somewhere in the middle for file size. The size definitely shows how much work Bethesda has put into it.

Shady- The games just keep getting better and better!!!

I agree, the reason I really love Fallout is because I love MMORPG's, open worlds. I'm addicted hahah.

Well this is good considering other games on Xbox One are upwards of 60GB

Not like I don't have a 2TB HDD but that's not a bad file size for a newer game like this.

Not too bad compared to some other games, but I don't see how they can be that large with limited graphics?

Miss Wonder how large it'll be on the PS4. Might have to delete some things if it's relatively the same as the Xbox One's.

They're running as the same graphic wise on both consoles, so I'd assume it would be the same!
