Fallout 4 on Xbox One Has a File Size Just Under 30GB

The Xbox store page for Fallout 4 has updated their listing, now giving a 28.12 GB file size for what will no doubt be one of fall’s biggest games. This is still much bigger than any previous Bethesda game on the HD consoles. Fallout 3 was 5.48 GB, Fallout: New Vegas was 4.75 GB, and their most recent game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was 3.68 GB on the Xbox 360.

These file sizes may not reflect patches released post-launch, as some day one patches have been known to enlarge the base file size significantly such as Batman: Arkham Knight‘s over 3 GB day one patch on PlayStation 4. Whether Fallout 4 will contain a day one patch remains to be seen.

kinda expected they will use compressed 720p textures and just upscale if it runs at 1080p

Pc version expected to be upto 60Gbs but that'll include 4k textures.

Bethesda in my eyes are some of the best game developers around I'm sure I won't be disappointed in what's to offer in FO4. Roll on 10th November.

They have been always good on keeping the size of the game small. Surprised but not surprised, cant wait for this game!

Almost all the games takes a couple of ours to download, My Internet it Terrible.

To be fair that isn't that big as the bo3 beta file size was 15gb.
