No single-player campaign mode for Black Ops 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will only have multiplayer and zombie mode on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The announcement popped up on the Call of Duty community blog, and states that, “The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware.”

So if you pick up Black Ops 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360, you’ll only be able to play the multiplayer mode and the zombies mode.

The last gen versions will also be lacking in “features built to leverage the next generation hardware like the new Weapon Paint Shop and the new suite of eSports tools [which] will only be available on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.”

With that in mind, the RRP for the game on older platforms is $49.99 and will include a “bonus download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops (bonus download availability may vary by region)”.

I don’t know that many CoD players care that much about the campaign, so is the absence of it something that they’ll be upset about? Should we all have switched over to this gen already anyway, almost two years into this console cycle? Let us know what you think about this move in the comments below.

I'm on Xbox one anyway . But still the camoain is still really important but i think it's time for older consouls to stop and focus on the new to make that very good

I agree, it sucks that the 360 is going downhill though :/ the 360 will never be forgotten lol.

This should be the last COD to be on last generation consoles. The fact that Treyarch have to cut campaign shows that the Xbox 360 and PS3 will not be able to handle future CODs.

If i was on the 360 i would expect a price drop for this game. The idea is stupid. i wouldn't pay regular price for a half game

Nasus People should just upgrade to the newer consoles there is no reason for microsoft/sony to keep old consoles going.


Why would anyone want to? To me it seems like they've only been releasing remakes and "hd" editions.


Older gens have lack of support for the newer games. That is why they have to upgrade there consoles. They aren't doing this for money it's just the things they are doing the older gens can't handle it.


Which is good, it's 2015 they should be pushing the limits far past what old gens can handle.
