Xbox One Elite Controller Release Date Announced

While you could purchase the Elite Controller as part of a new Xbox One Elite bundle on November 3, Microsoft announced that the controller will be available separately starting October 27, 2015. The controller will cost $150 and is made for durability and customization for dedicated players who spend hours in Forza and Halo. Speaking about both the Elite console bundle, with its 1TB hard drive and increased performance, Phil Spencer stated,

We should always make sure we have something for the discerning customer who wants the very best we’ll be able to offer, and I want to give them that opportunity. If you’re really happy [with your Xbox One console] you should go try [Xbox Elite], but it really wasn’t meant to try and flip you from the setup you have now. It will be faster, but I don’t know it would be fast enough to say that you’d want to go off and spend hundreds of dollars to do that.

I see how it is an upgraded controller but for more than double the price of a regular controller is a steep price if you ask me.

On the Elite controller the d-pad is interchangable with regular ones

Zeitgeist I'm already on my 3rd controller and the hang on the Left stick on my current pad is dreadful. I'm way too clumsy dropping it and spilling coffee over them, I bought a new pad with the 3mm jack, had it for a month and now it doesn't even turn on :/

This would be a really bad idea getting this for that price and then destroying it in months! Give me a workable budget pad any day over this!!

or you could try taking care of your stuff. not really a hard concept.
