Black Ops 3 nets Call of Duty’s first Australian R18+ label

Call of Duty has been hit with an adults only rating in Australia.

Black Ops 3 has received an R18+ rating from the Australian Classification Board.

It’s the first time the annual shooter series has been rated above MA15+ – a much more holiday gift-friendly category.

The classification references high impact violence as well as as strong impact themes. Hmm! Not a lot of information for caregivers to go on when little Johnny demands one of the hottest titles of the year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 6. It looks like PEGI and the ESRB are yet to return classification.

Explicit-Play I love how WAW was rated, with all the blood, gore, random limbs flying off then horror due to zombies, then theres BO3 xD xD

yea its funny lol , WAW was by far the game with the most gore

Tbh, I think 16 is better, but generally parents will let 10 year olds play 16s, and then 12/13 year olds 18s. It doesn't really matter because most parents just don't care anyway, but then again it's just to cover their asses.

UZl Ok. Is not that violent. Blood doesnt even spill out when you are killed online. Now if it was like WaW where you get your leg blown off when you were shot by a shotgun, then yes, i would understand the rating but BO3?, nah.

..... Yes it does.... When you are killed by a grenade and stuff you explode but ill just sip my tea
