New iPhones, iPads and Apple TV expected to debut on September 9

4.7
This week, Apple rolled out iOS 9 beta 5, the latest preview of the next major version of its mobile OS. Apple hasn’t set a firm date for its rollout, but as in previous years, it will launch alongside the company’s latest iOS devices. While the unveiling of those devices has been widely expected to come in September, it looks like we may now have a specific date for the announcement.

Apple hasn’t yet sent out invites for the event, but BuzzFeed says that it will take place during the week beginning September 7; according to its sources, September 9 is “the most likely date”.

The event will include the unveiling of the company’s latest iPhones. Since these will be 'S' releases - most likely called the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus - expect the handsets to look very similar to the current models.

But they are also expected to feature some welcome hardware improvements, including a display with ‘Force Touch’ pressure sensitivity – which Apple first used in the touchpad of its 12-inch MacBook – along with a better camera, and enhanced performance. New iPads are also rumored to appear at the event.

The new Apple TV box will be unveiled there too, and recent leaks have indicated that it will bring some significant changes over its predecessor. In addition to major performance improvements and more onboard storage, you can also look forward to a new Apple TV branch of the App Store; a new SDK is expected too, allowing third-party software developers to create apps for the device.

The new, slimmer Apple TV will also feature a redesigned user experience with integrated support for Siri voice controls. For those who prefer not to shout at their TVs all day, a new remote will be included with a built-in touchpad.

I feel sad for people that use iPhones.
Their new updates are what Android has literally been using for years.

I'm pretty excited for some of the new features that come with iOS 9! Some of my friends actually have the beta and have showed me some of the new things like battery saver.

TMH_x_Modder Iphone's are stupid, they bring a new one out every couple of months with features other phones have had for years

It's actually every year (that's around 12 months, not 2) and every phone making company does it.

Hope the new iPhones will have a better battery that doesn't need to be plugged in all day to stream radio.
Also, would like an app to turn off Siri comments PRN. It's a beloved feature, but choices rule!

I'm happy with my iPhone 6, will stick with this for a while.
New products are always being brought out by Apple, just a way of making money because the name is so big.
