New iPhones, iPads and Apple TV expected to debut on September 9

4.7
This week, Apple rolled out iOS 9 beta 5, the latest preview of the next major version of its mobile OS. Apple hasn’t set a firm date for its rollout, but as in previous years, it will launch alongside the company’s latest iOS devices. While the unveiling of those devices has been widely expected to come in September, it looks like we may now have a specific date for the announcement.

Apple hasn’t yet sent out invites for the event, but BuzzFeed says that it will take place during the week beginning September 7; according to its sources, September 9 is “the most likely date”.

The event will include the unveiling of the company’s latest iPhones. Since these will be 'S' releases - most likely called the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus - expect the handsets to look very similar to the current models.

But they are also expected to feature some welcome hardware improvements, including a display with ‘Force Touch’ pressure sensitivity – which Apple first used in the touchpad of its 12-inch MacBook – along with a better camera, and enhanced performance. New iPads are also rumored to appear at the event.

The new Apple TV box will be unveiled there too, and recent leaks have indicated that it will bring some significant changes over its predecessor. In addition to major performance improvements and more onboard storage, you can also look forward to a new Apple TV branch of the App Store; a new SDK is expected too, allowing third-party software developers to create apps for the device.

The new, slimmer Apple TV will also feature a redesigned user experience with integrated support for Siri voice controls. For those who prefer not to shout at their TVs all day, a new remote will be included with a built-in touchpad.

I don't think we will see the launch on new iPads at this event. iPhone and Apple TV will be more then enough, otherwise there will be too much and I think it would distract from everything when they tried to launch so much at once. I am very instrested to see the new apple TV and more so the remote with possible touchpad and microphone like the fire TV has. I also wonder whats going to be new on the iPhone or if its just going to simple like better camera and improved speed.

MagnaFlow So I have been eligible all summer from my 5s, and I have been waiting for the new Iphone this year so I can then get the 7 next summer, (1 year upgrade plan :) ) but today my 5s screen shit on me and I had to order a new one. Didnt drop it, nor is it cracked, all the pixels just decided to die. Neat huh? Welp 3 days of no phone for me. :(

Have you had your 5s longer than a year? Manufacturer Warranty would have covered that

I was thinking the same thing but got mine months ago. Is there a new phone each year? What is this, Call of Duty, shitty games each year? lol

They release a new one every fall so yeah. I'm not upgrading anymore after the 6 for a while.

-Kurumu- I have an IPhone 5c might wait for this to come before i get 6

Hey, I have the iPhone 5c White, I'm about to upgrade to iPhone 6+ and idk if i should wait to get the iPhone 6s +

Wait for the 6s Plus, if you already have a perfectly fine phone now, there's no point rushing into a purchase wait for the 6s Plus.
