Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Has Increased Console Sales

4.6
According to Xbox Head Phil Spencer, backwards compatibility is boosting Xbox One sales as demonstrated by the great month of June for Microsoft. Backwards compatibility has been announced at E3 2015 and is now in beta, only available for those who are part of the Preview Program.

Based on what Spencer said to a fan, it looks like many Xbox 360 users were only waiting for this kind of news to "make the jump" and buy a new Xbox One for their home gaming.

Curiously enough, later on another fan tweeted he and his three friends have traded in their Xbox 360 for Xbox Ones, and Spencer personally said thanks to them in sign of appreciation.

Backwards compatibility is bringing 100 Xbox 360 games on Xbox One when it launches this fall, and by holidays the program will make another 100 titles available for fans to try.

Good to see more people buying the xbox one but it will still take time for them to bring out a lot more better games what people will want to play but it's all a matter of time now.

LSPD I have a question about backwards compatibility. Say i put in Fifa 156 XB360 version into the XB1, would the game run like the next gen version or just showmup how it would be on the XB360?
Xbox 360 version because you're using the Xbox 360 disc

Still going to stick with my PS4. The BC on the One is nice and all but I don't want to spend another $300 on a console I'll barely use.
