iOS 8.4 Jailbreak Tool Version 2.4.1 Is Out

iOS jailbreak code developer TaiG released the public version of the iOS 8.4 jailbreak tool Version 2.4.1 soon after the beta version was announced.

TaiG has taken user's feedback and Version 2.4.1 promises to rectify bugs and fix the niggling problem of users getting stuck at 60 percent during installation. So no more hang-up issues when you jailbreak iOS 8.4 using Version 2.4.1 tool.

The latest version also brings in its folds optimization and stability features per the changelog. However, no Mac version is in site till now and, therefore, users who are looking to jailbreak their iDevices are advised to deploy Windows machines for the purpose.

For those contemplating on jailbreaking iOS 8.4 with the latest tool, the compatible devices are as follows:

How to Install iOS 8.4 Version 2.4.1

Step 1: Head over to TaiG and download TaiG v2.4.1 public software.

Step 2: Switch off the Passcode, as well as Find My Phone options. This can be done as follows:

Switching off Passcode: Navigate to Settings > Passcode > Enter your passcode > Turn Passcode Off > Enter passcode.

Switching off Find My Phone: Navigate to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone > Tap to switch off.

Step 3: Connect your iDevice to the Windows PC. Open the TaiG tool v2.4.1.

Step 4: Uncheck the 3K assistant checkbox. Check the Cydia 1.1.16 checkbox.

Step 5: Next click Start to start the jailbreak process. Ensure that your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is connected well and wait for the process to complete. This may take some time so exercise some patience.

Step 6: Once the process is complete the iDevice will reboot. A message that the jailbreak was a success will be displayed on the device's screen.


TaiG advises that users install/start the 3K assistant post the jailbreak for games, plug-ins, apps and wallpapers. A possibility exists that the jailbreak code's installation could fail numerous times and, therefore, TaiG advises that one reinstalls the software a couple of times patiently.

hold down power and home button until apple logo pops ups continue holding until all goes black. You won't be able to do anything on it. Plug it in to you computer and reset via iTunes. Boom there you go.


Enter DFU mode. Hold power until the phone turns off. While still holding power start holding home button (roughly 15sec) and you'll be on a black screen. Then connect device to computer and restore. Above user had the right idea :P
