PSN Down on PS4 & PS3, Affecting Gaming, PlayStation Store

Sony updated their PlayStation Network Status Page to reveal that the PSN is down on PlayStation 4, with issues affecting Gaming and Social and the PlayStation Store (see above).

Ask PlayStation adds, “Engineers are investigating issues with the PSN connectivity; thanks for your patience.”

As Bungie Help said on Twitter, “We are aware of issues impacting those on PlayStation and their ability to connect to Destiny. We’re currently investigating.”

We’ll keep an eye on the PSN issues today and let you know of any updates, though hopefully it won’t be as bad as what happened on Friday.

Xbox wasnt down on Christmas, maybe for like 2 hours, but PSN was down almost 2 days if I recall

Probably the kids who got video games for Christmas? I don't know, just a guess.

UZl I was wanting to buy a PS4 but this makes me think twice before buying it

I have both consoles. And I've had more issues with PSN being down than Xbox Live. I have both new consoles, great internet so it isn't me. PSN has more issues with servers, hands down. Sad to say.

both have their issues and are largely the same...just buy whichever one has an exclusive u like more or whichever has more/closer friends on it....or just buy both!seems to work just fine for me.

Let me add, yes ps4 has had more times where they were down than xbox for me, but not a very noticeable amount that it should make you choose it over the other efc
