E3′s PC gaming press conference included an intriguing announcement from Bohemia Interactive’s Brian Hicks: in the near future, DayZ will offer an offline single-player mode, allowing modders to test their work extensively before deploying it to the Steam Workshop.

Hicks also revealed that Bohemia intends to release tools to allow players to host their own DayZ servers.

Lia This will be cool to try out custom mods! What i don't get is how you play DayZ on PS4 & XBOX, Just doesn't seem right. Also the game is nowhere near finished for PC so why they are even thinking about PS4 and XBOX i have no idea.


Because they enjoy profiting off their unfinished game so they need to bring it to other systems so they can make more money. I don't agree with "early access games".

LOL it's awful! Just buy Arma 3 and get the Breaking Point mod, it's the reason Bohemia made the DayZ Standalone, and it has a hell of a better team working on it and continually updating it!

DayZ was a great mod, completely ruined! Bohemia have completely destroyed DayZ, you're much better off getting Arma 3 and the mod.
