Remastered Halo 3: ODST will not be released this Friday

Earlier today a listing popped up on the Xbox store with a May 29 release date for the ODST campaign in the Master Chief Collection. Apparently, the listing was a balls up.

The tweets came from the Halo account on Twitter, no doubt prompted by the coverage of the listing that was spotted on the Xbox store for the campaign that had a release date of this Friday.

Aside from nipping that idea in the bud, no more info has surfaced on how much the ODST campaign will cost for those players who aren’t getting it free as a reward for enduring the rocky launch issues.

We’ll keep you posted if we get wind of a confirmed release date.

Wow, that sucks. I think that is the bew thing now. Where games companies tell you the release date and then they honon social media and say, " Sorry, not today" and yo top it all off, they dont give back to the users for the delay.

No suprise here 343 isn't doing anything right since they took over halo ODST would have been a major fail if it launched Friday

Miss I wish Bungie never sold Halo to 343. Bungie would have had this game out months ago and it would have not had a terrible release. Really disappointed about this news as I was really looking forward to seeing ODST remastered this month. Good job, 343. Ya dun goofed, again.


they didnt sell it to 343. MS bought bungie while they were developing it for Mac thus buying halo in the process and using it as the flagship for xbox. bungie had a 10 year contract with MS for development of halo, when the contract expired MS still retained the halo franchise and gave a contract out to 343 to develope it on behalf of MS. :)

This was literally only made to give people the Recon armour in Halo 3.


Wot. ODST was such a good spin off of a Halo game, It made a rich story with some cool characters, and a neat idea of exploration.

Not that excited for this game but I will be playing it anyways just for the achievements.
