Windows 10 is coming to Xbox One “post-summer”

Windows 10′s release on Xbox One will lag a little bit behind its PC release.

Windows 10 is promised to change the look and feel of all of Microsoft’s products, Xbox One included. We’ve barely seen or heard anything about what that really means for Xbox One, and it looks like we’ll be waiting a while longer.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer was chatting with fans on Twitter, as he’s known to do, and revealed that the official launch of Windows 10 in the summer doesn’t include Xbox One.

Before software updates hit Xbox One, they first have to go through the preview program, where selected Xbox One owners get to test them and make sure nothing is broken. This is presumably what Spencer is referring to, so it will be even longer for the rest of us.

I doubt there will be any big changes with the XB1 tbh, but I'm super excited for Win10 on PC. I loved the beta but had to install Win8.1 on my desktop because the beta was still having a few issues at that time. Can't wait for the full version to be released.

It seems like Windows 10 is going to be Microsoft's golden child. Or at least that's what they're hoping.

I don't know what you hate about it, it's the "best" of Windows 8.1, and the BEST of Windows 7 with DX12 put in.

Sage Windows 10 alone is going to be a big release. The beta was amazing a perfect mix of 7 and 8

Aint it released yet ? i thought Windows 10 was already out


No, they had a technical preview that ended on April 15th, it's supposed to launch in the Summer according to Microsoft, so that could be June, July, August, but I'm putting my money around mid-July.
