Microsoft Focusing On New Games For Xbox One Instead Of 360 Remakes

4.7
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has fired up his Twitter account once more to answer some questions from eager Xbox fans. Ahead of the coming E3 a lot of fans are eager to know more about what games will be revealed but this time the Xbox head replied to a question regarding bringing Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One.

The Xbox 360 brought us an amazing collection of games and we keep hoping for a sequel or reboot to Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. Last month Spencer stated that he likes JRPS’s and he was a fan of LO and BD. Only time will tell whether these will ever see the light though.

When asked about bringing Fable: Anniversary to the Xbox One, Spencer replied that there are lots of games he wants to bring to the Xbox One. Problem is that there is only so much time. The Xbox head wants to focus on bringing new games to the console. Spencer continues that these are no easy tradeoffs:

“Lots of 360 games I’d like to bring to XB1, only so much time and want to focus on making new games. Not easy tradeoffs.”

Will you like to see more Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, or are you happy that Microsoft is putting more energy on new games?

Good, lots of promising new games coming out, that's what I like to see.

Pryzel Good, excited to see new games, remakes are sorta pointless imo.

I've got to agree. It's not like they're going to remake every game that someone enjoyed on last gen for the new gen consoles. It'd be a waste of time.

they seem to have given up on the 360

This makes sense to be honest. I know eventually Xbox 360 and PS3 will begin to have less and less games being made for them, to the point where they just stop making games for those consoles.

This is good. It is nice to see good remakes but the Xbox One is in need of some new and better games.

Im sick of all these remakes.. I bought an Xbone for new games, no remasters. If you want to play a game like MW2 or Fable, then play it on your 360.

Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2 would be amazing.

That has just so much to do with this article... People like you really annoy me... Also it is a shame they will be focusing more on XB1 games as me and i take a wild guess, most of the community, would want COD4,5,6 Re-introduced. Would be great to have a laugh on rust that turns from a quick scope no scope to an RPG war, headshot some zombies on Shi-no-numa, or der rise and have the classic KS back in cod 4.

We all would like to see call of duty remade. It's not going to happen though so why keep ranting on about it. You have to think about the people that want it remade and the people that don't. Sure it would be fun but what would be the point? Many people just want new games instead of older games that everyones played and abused in game mechanics. So good luck waiting for a remake becuase it's never going to happen.

TBH, "Most" people would want remakes, i couldn't care less about the new games as they get boring after what, like a week or so? Tell me when was the last time you enjoyed a game so much you spent more than 10 days gameplay time on it? i could list you game people would prefer more than bringing out new games which will be most likely awful.

So lets say remakes of the following;
Skyrim
CoD:4,5,6
Skate 3:
Oblivion
Battlefield 3
and so on.

They made Remake of halo, so why not other top sellerS?

Sucks to hear that you don't have any fun, however that isn't the case for everyone else. I'd rather have something fresh rather than an outdated game than a old one I've already beaten.

I mean ask yourself, if you only drank Mt. Dew for a whole year, then the next year they come out with a new bottle shape would you want to keep drinking it because of it has a different bottle? I'd rather move onto a new flavor than stick with the same thing over and over again.
