Xbox One, Mortal Kombat X top US sales in April

The Xbox One outsold the PS4 in April in the US, as Mortal Kombat X proved to be the most popular game.

According to the number crunchers at NPD, as reported by Gamesbeat, it’s the first time Xbox One has outsold the PS4 this year.

“As the best-selling console in the US in April, fans set record April sales and engagement for Xbox One last month,” Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols told the site.

It was a quiet month for new software release, but Warner’s Mortal Kombat X proved strong, outselling the likes of Battlefield Hardline and GTA 5.

March’s big PlayStation 4 release, Bloodborne, did not hang around in the top ten this month.

1989 Thats pretty good, I myself like to play the game and looks like a ton of more other people do aswell. GTA V number 2 daamn. That game is still selling which is amazing!


Whats amazing is that GTA is still selling.


Honestly surprises me, and will stay like this for May aswell I would assume. R* clearly did something right.

Sanctyy Lol, I've never played any Mortal Kombat game, never seen the appeal, and just never been interested in it, personally.


There pretty fun if your bored, other then that there pretty boring.

Not surprised. MKX has to be one of the best or the best fighting games out there right now. Like Kixa says, it never gets boring since there are so many different combinations you can do.

MKX is pretty much all I play when I'm on and it never gets boring, but I'm quite surprised that GTA is over Battlefield being as Battlefield is newer.

I never play the game until 9 and now 10 is a lot better and is just amazing!
