H1Z1 has sold over 1 million copies

4.7
H1Z1, Daybreak Games’ zombie survival game, has sold more than one million copies on Steam in just over three months. It looks like the 'mixed' reviews on the game's Steam page hasn't stopped people shuffling towards their monitors, arms extended, demanding more zombie survival experiences.

Daybreak’s president John Smedley announced the milestone on Twitter. The game, originally developed as part of Sony Online Entertainment, and now with Daybreak as the studio split from its Sony parent, has been available in early access on Steam since mid-January. The game has remained near the top of Steam’s best seller list, despite there being controversy over its microtransactions and general quality.

Staggie I have not played this or DayZ as I don't normally play PC games. But will either come out on Xbox at some point, maybe?

I doubt it and kinda dont want it to as it would probably still be best on PC and would just be a waste of time tbh.

Int I still don't think this game is worth it, better stick with ARMA2/3 DayZ.

The hype about it kinda does prove it is worth it. Also a ton of people are saying its better than DayZ

3 months already ? Holy crap, need to get this game when I get my PC, hopefully they will sort out the hackers by then.

I have this game; it's actually really good as long as you are playing with friends. The zombie survival aspects of the game are flawed. Hackers, at least as of the last time I played, ran rampant. The Battle Royale gamemode however, is infinite fun, adrenaline rushes, and loads of excitement.

The hacking issues will be fixed eventually. Either way this game is worth the $20 it is. Very good.

I never got around to getting this game, but I have seen a good amount of gameplay on YouTube before and I think it looks like a pretty fun game. Congratulations to them though for selling one million copies in a pretty short amount of time.

DeluxeHazard This game and DayZ are just so much fun when you have a group of friends. H1Z1 definitely deserves the sales.

I agree, this game also makes really good YouTube videos :D
