New PS4 Firmware 2.50 Screenshots Leak

An anonymous source was just nice enough to provide sixthaxis what appear to be a few screenshots from Sony’s new PS4 2.50 firmware that’s set to be launching “soon.” Sony have already officially talked about some of the new features that are on the way but the screens show a few of them in action.

For starters, we get a closer look at the new accessibility menu, and it appears we’ll even be able to paste this set of options on to the screen you see when you hold down the home button on the controller. We also get to take a look at what is now a slightly cleaner share menu, what the option for deleting trophies looks like, and how to access suspend/resume, as well as what it looks like when you resume from standby. Also, it appears the PlayStation Store icon has been moved to the dynamic menu.

I've missed a bunch of updates, on both PS4 and XB1. I really need to update my systems but they barely ever get used anymore.

It looks pretty cool and seems a lot better then the xbox one layout but it will be intresting to see what the end result of this update will be.

DeluxeHazard Trophies for the Playstation are like gamerscore if I am correct, so why would Playstation users want to delete their trophies then?

NBC I think it looks pretty good, but I think the deleting trophies feature is a bit pointless.


I have a lot of friends on PS4 and they actually like the feature so I guess its not really pointless.

It's not bad, it's just a little outdated. Same with the Xbox. Atleast you can bring custom skins to Steam ;)


I normally prefer the original themes. Custom ones always get boring


Well that's your opinion. Personally I use Metro for Steam and I can't go back to default.

Ska The reason why I stopped console gaming and went with PC Gaming is completely because of things like this. Microsoft and Sony need to stop worrying about making things clean and start making things better for gamers if they want to update that bad. They ruined the new xbox dashboard and I've never liked playstation 3 and 4, Why can't we just have something simple like the PS2 browser or something with better more beneficial features?


That would be stupid though for them not to change anything. The new designs are better and show the development.
