Steam breaks concurrent users record yet again

Steam had a good weekend. The concurrent user record that was set only in January, which saw 8.4 million using the platform at the same time, has already been smashed. On Sunday afternoon, Steam peaked at a massive 9.06 million concurrent users.

The ten most popular games at the time is a list mostly filled with stalwarts like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but Colossal Order’s new city-builder, Cities: Skylines, also made it onto the list.

Here’s what most people have been playing:

Dota 2
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Team Fortress 2
Civilization V
Payday 2
Cities: Skylines
Garry’s Mod
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Football Manager 2015
Arma 3

Yeah if you play CSGO like you do CoD, you'll get demolished. Learned it the hard way.

everyone has it for a reason though. It is a awesome game.


I bought it when it was on sale for 3.75.

That is really good, it seems that a lot more people are turning to pc gaming but I still prefer console atm as I'm bad at gaming on a pc.
