Titanfall 2 Probably Coming To PS4, Says EA

4.7
During today’s Technology, Internet & Media Conference in San Francisco, Blake Jorgensen (CFO at Electronic Arts) dropped a heavy hint that Titanfall 2 is coming in all likelihood to PlayStation 4.

Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us.

Truthfully, the first Titanfall game also released on PC, but clearly Jorgensen was referring to the console market. Since Wii U isn't really a console known for its shooters, the only other next generation console on the market is PlayStation 4.

Incidentally, Sony’s latest console is also the most successful one in this generation so far, which is why Jorgensen highlighted that it would be a “huge positive” for Electronic Arts if Titanfall 2 was indeed released for PS4 as well.

That said, Titanfall proved to be somewhat of a disappointment in the long run as its gameplay became stale over the course of just a few weeks after launch. What kind of improvements would you like to see from Respawn Entertainment in a sequel? Let us know in the comments.

Mensch First game is Xbox one only...second game is PS4 only? I guess when your game's story is weak enough you can do things like this.

You didn't even read the title, smh.

In my opinion, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The basic aesthetic that was evoked drew my attention and me and my buds had a lot of fun in this game for quite some time. I'll agree after a while it grew stale, but was still shocked to see the amount of support that Respawn was still giving to this game with the constant updates. I am really looking forward to #2 to see what they have in store. :)

The title is pretty cut and dry. They say in the article it will "probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform", however the use of "probably" doesn't seem like they're totally committed to that statement which would lead me to believe that they could potentially drop support for an xbox one release due to how poorly it was received and explore a different market share.

Without MS backing the next game as much as they did the last, Sony might pick up the PR bill and decide for that much money they might want it to be an exclusive which could also pull gamers like you who enjoyed the game away from your xbone and persuade you to buy a PS4.

Believe me...I read the article.

Not surprised. EA always follows the money

Played the diversion on Xbox 360 and on the off chance that it comes to PS4 I won't be lifting it up. The diversion had a ton of potential yet it ceased there. Gameplay got exhausting before I even got to eminence. It was truly a frustration in my eyes and I won't be purchasing the spin-off.

Honestly i really did not like this game, every match is exactly the same. Sure you can say that COD is the same every match but i don't play either of those games. I play Battlefield and the stuff that occurs more then once is rare. I was disappointed with the game.

Great that PS users get to experience the game, but I really wouldn't recommend it if it's anyway like the first.
