PSN Going Down for Three Hours on Thursday Due to Maintenance

4.7
Sony Computer Entertainment just announced on its official forums that the PlayStation Network will undergo a maintenance on Thursday 12th February from 5 PM until 8:30 PM GMT, translating to 12 PM until 3:30 PM EST.

For the duration of the maintenance you will be unable to login to Account Management and the PS Store. PS Home will also be unavailable.

PS4 users will be able to access online gameplay only if their system is activated as their Primary system and they have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached. If your PS4 system is not activated as the Primary system, online gaming may not be available.

PS3 and PS Vita users may experience limited PSN functionality, however online gameplay will be available to users who have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached.

Users who do not have their details cached, will not be able to sign-in to their account or begin an online gaming session.

There may be some additional downtime after the maintenance period for testing purposes.

Time to make sure you log in before the maintenance if you want to keep playing.

GTXPlayer Wasn't this down like 2 weeks ago for maintenance?

I find this rather amusing.

It is down pretty much every week lol.

It's never completely down, and if it is it's never for longer than a few minutes.

A few minutes? Okay sure mate thats why a few years ago it was a full month.

Not surprised to see Xbox owners leached on this news article. I don't mind the constant maintenance. If they're fixing bugs daily then that's fine.

Well, it is. And this time it's down for far longer than a few minutes. More like 3 and a half hours. Great try though XD

JRMH just wanna thank god that I have an Xbox :')

What does that matter? Xbox does maintenance as well.

Novh I am happy I have Xbox... Seems that PSN has been up and down lately

The hackers are a large portion of the problems they were having and they seem to have stopped for a while. *knocks on wood*

Switched from the 360 to PS4... Terrible mistake, The xbox has room to improve but the PS4 gets more things wrong than it gets right. Sometimes I wonder if they do everything wrong in just be different from the xbox. Over eight months of having a PS4 now and I'm thinking the WiiU couldn't be as bad as this.

Edgy Xbox owners over here with satisfaction.

Not really, the other day it was booting me offline ever 10 minutes or so.

If you look on Xbox.com under the alerts something is always down.
