New internet TV service coming to Xbox One

4.7
Microsoft announced that a new internet TV service called "Sling TV" will be coming to US Xbox One owners in early 2015.

A partnership with Dish is bringing the new subscription based live internet TV service, which will offer streams of major cable channels. The cost of the service will be $20 per month with channels including ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel.

The new service will launch on Xbox One first, then possibly followed by other devices. All Xbox Live members will be getting an extended one month free trial at launch.

Hmm,sounds like a good plan, i might buy it. $20 a month is a little bit steep i think.

Craigyy Xbox has so many TV services now it's hard to keep track of whats what...

This really isn't a TV Service, but a package deal. You cant watch actual live TV with the other apps.

This I cannot wait for, buying the day it launches.

Same. It's pure genius. This is going to make Microsoft a TON of money I think.

CJx Seems a bit pricey considering that ESPN is only 6 a month in the UK and the other shows are useless. (never watched CNN or TNT)

True stuff buddy, feel the same.

Yeah, it is a little steep for what it is but ya know, time is money I guess.

I'd only use ESPN, So this is going to be pretty pointless, I guess if you use more than one of these it would be cool

But if I can pay 6, I am fine with that.
