Member Review: Apple Magic Mouse

4.6
The Magic Mouse was first introduced in 2009 by Apple for use with most Apple products, it is a multi-touch mouse. The Magic Mouse was the first consumer grade mouse with multi-touch capabilities. The Magic Mouse allows the use of gestures including swiping and scrolling across the top surface. It connect to the device via Bluetooth and runs on 2 AA batteries. Apple kindly bundles these into the box. The Magic Mouse requires OSX 10.5.8 and above, it uses laser tracking for increased pointer accuracy over the previous generation of Apple mice.

The Magic Mouse really is one of the best things I have ever used to control a computer, it has been really very well designed for use with iMacs. The gestures really do help in everyday tasks such as Web browsing and Photo Editing. The laser sensor hasn't put a foot wrong and is very accurate. The battery life is out of this world and still using the original batteries after 2 years. I have used many mice in the past, but nothing feels as natural as the Magic Mouse to use on a daily basis, it is very comfortable to use for long periods of time, it falls into your hand like it was meant to be. The only slight problem i have found with it is that after using it for lengthy periods it can cause your hand to sweat due to the glossy top surface of the mouse, but this is just a small negative point and nothing that should put off potential buyers.

Pictures/Professional pictures:

Pretty nice review. And anything related with Apple is usually pricey.

This mouse is great. I have one but never use it because I use my Macbook now instead of my iMac.

Can only agree on this review it sure is an amazing mouse. The only problem i have, is that the scrolling gesture is so sensitive that sometimes i scroll when i don't want to.

I wold probably buy one if I could use it on my PC, and if they weren't so expensive.

If I had a mac I'd buy one. I'll stick to my corsair for now.

Very nice review, graig.

I must say, I used one of these mice at an Apple store about a week ago it was honestly probably the best feeling, smoothest, sleek, fitted, gorgeous mouse I've ever used. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Apple, I'd definitely buy this mouse if it was capable of being used on a Windows based PC.
