Halo Master Chief Collection Matchmaking Fixes a “Top Priority” at 343

4.6
Gamers barely awake after a night of Covenant-blasting and Brute-punching in the just-released Halo: The Master Chief Collection can rest a little easier knowing that multiplayer matchmaking fixes are a “top priority” at 343 Industries.

In a number of updates, the studio is telling those experiencing issues finding a public multiplayer match in The Master Chief collection, “We’re aware of issues some have been having with matchmaking and we’re working around the clock, alongside the Xbox Live team, to address.”

Some improvements have been made thus far, but it appears that further action is still required.

“We’ve also deployed an update that has shown some improvement, and we work around the clock to optimize,” said 343. “This is our top priority.

“The update deployed to matchmaking was done on the server side and does not require an extra download to your Xbox One.”

Similarly, over on Halo’s official support page, the studio made this statement:
“We are aware of the issues players have been experiencing with matchmaking and we’re working around the clock, alongside the Xbox Live team, to improve the situation. We have deployed an update that has shown some improvement, and we continue to optimize the experience. The update deployed to matchmaking was done on the server side and does not require an extra download to your Xbox One. This is our top priority and will keep everyone updated regularly as we deploy continued improvements.”

We’ll be sure to update you with any news on The Master Chief Collection’s matchmaking improvements.

They really need to fix this, its been almost 48 hours for some people.

Hopefully they get it fixed by the time my game downloads.

This game just keeps getting better and better.

When does this take effect

All huge games have multiplayer issues. Stop saying they could have figured this out earlier. No they couldn't. When a ton of people are on a game at once the servers are bound to take a toll.

This game is huge lol. the games have improved enormously. but i dont see how they didnt find these issues in the first place. maybe they were just lazy ?

all games have issues when they are first released look at GTA last ;ear they didnt even let you on multiplayer straight away and then there servers didnt work and look at cod this year and last year they have just been complete shit

I don't want it a top priority. I want it to be already perfect right when the game comes out. They had years to make sure the game was great. Wheres the armor customization, there was better armor customization in halo 3. The xbox one invite and party system is really bad and theres no custom game finder.

I am VERY disappointed with the release of Halo: MCC.
The game itself is tremendous. It's essentially 4 games for the price of one. The idea of the game is great, and the actual maps and designing of the game is great. But when you have such a powerful game release, you need to have everything ready. I'm not even upset about the download times, although that took a couple of hours. It's just upsetting that you can't even get in a decent multiplayer game. I haven't played in a full lobby multiplayer game yet and I have had the game since last night. I've been trying to play all day. Well, I guess my rant is over; good luck to fixing the servers as quickly as possible.

I managed to get in a single game open the Halo 3 playlist. Instead of 4v4 it put us into 8 teams of 1, how on Earth did they not see all these issues pre-launch?
