Grand Theft Auto V new-gen video shows off first-person mode

Rockstar has released the first proper footage of the first-person mode featured in the new-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto V.

The video provides three minutes of first-person action, showing what it's like to drive cars, ride motorbikes and fly planes with the new viewpoint.

The footage also shows how first-person mode affects the way you fire guns in the game and changes the feel of heist missions.

The Grand Theft Auto V release date is November 18, 2014 on Xbox One and PS4. The PC version, originally planned for release this year, will launch on January 27, 2015.

DeluxeHazard This looks cool but doesn't seem to have much practicality. Even so, there was also a mod a while back on the 360 for a first person mode.

It's something different, it'll bring back people who quit the game for stupid reasons.

Well while it isn't anything major i find that being able to play in first person will prove to be quite the immersive experience. I find that third person tends to break immersion occasionally

this is a great idea! have been waiting for it to come to GTA! only problem that i see that I wouldnt like is the fact that the camera moves alot when driving. they could also do a better job making the guns look more realistic in first person pov

I personally think this is really cool, offering players a new perspective of the GTA world may give them a little incentive to purchase the game for a second time, it definitely has for me
