Darksiders 2 now free through Xbox Live Games with Gold

Darksiders 2 is now free to download for Xbox Live Gold subscribers as part of October's Games with Gold offering.

Weighing in at 7.15 GB, the Xbox 360 title is normally priced at £44.99 / $49.99 on Microsoft's digital marketplace. It replaces Battlefield Bad Company 2, which was free to download during the first half of October.

On Xbox One this month, Crimson Dragon and Chariot are free to download..

A single Xbox Live Gold membership provides owners with access to the free games for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. On Xbox 360, users are still granted access to free game downloads if their subscription lapses, but on Xbox One users are required to maintain their subscription in order to access freely downloaded games.

Microsoft revealed this week's Xbox Live Deals with Gold discounts on Wednesday. Highlights include savings on Rayman Legends and Outlast for Xbox One, and Dragon Age games and DLC for Xbox 360.

I've played it and it's quite fun but some bosses are pretty tough to kill overall it's a great game.

wow its bad enough it takes like 10 mintues just to down load an update. Cant imagine how long itll be for 7gigs

I've downloaded this game so much that it is on my Download History, however I have not fully downloaded the game as my internet connection is suffering due to some problems on the ISP's end of things so it would take a lot longer than the usual two-three nights to download it. I am looking forward to getting to play the game as it seems rather fun.

This is a great game. I don't own it anymore, so the fact that I can have it again for free is awesome.

I got this game with my purchase of my 360 a year ago. The game is very fun and very happy others get to play it.

And Rayman Legends looks like a fun game, might have to buy it on sale.
