PlayStation Network maintenance scheduled for October 13

Sony says the following services will be unavailable during the network downtime, although online play will still be possible if users are already signed into their PSN account prior to the maintenance beginning:

- PlayStation Store on all devices
- PlayStation Network Account Management
- PlayStation Network Account Registration
- Entertainment services
- Online Gameplay

In North America, PSN maintenance will reportedly take place between 10am and 5pm PT on October 13, although this doesn't appear to have been officially confirmed by Sony yet. In Europe, the maintenance period will run from 6pm BST next Monday until 1am BST on Tuesday October 14.

PlayStation owners across the globe reported problems accessing PSN last Thursday when the service went down unexpectedly for a number of hours due to unspecified issues.

Just go outside. You can live without video games for a couple hours.


Exactly, one of the consoles has a maintenance and it either makes everyone moan or starts a console war. I just play football

They constantly do this, one thing that annoyed me about owning a PS3.


At least you don't have to pay an annual fee to play online.

They never fail to put a downer on your gaming one way or another. Best thing about PS3 is probably the fact its free.
