Apple has announced its smart watch, the Apple Watch

After many months of speculation and the competition announcing their goods, Apple has announced it's play into the wearables market with the Apple Watch.

Tim Cook said that they did not intend to take the iPhone and slap it on your wrist, a subtle jab at Android smart watches.

The rotary dial on the side of the device plays a key part and acts like a multifunction input mechanism.

It's confirmed to be $350(or 250) USD I believe.

I think people are missing the point of style and convenience with a product like this. You take a general idea and function of a watch, and give it to a technology company, amazing things happen. Without even knowing too much about it, people are already under the notion of "it sucks". Give it a chance people.

YesScotland I think they copied the idea of Sony oor maybe it was the other way about? Sony released theirs first so in my mind, Apple copied Sony's idea of a watch.


There is no patent on the idea of a phone watch. Let innovation happen. Let different producers produce similar products and let the free market and capitalist side of the market do it's work on letting us have the greatest and latest product for the cheapest price. Let technology and development happen.

I like the look of the watch but I don't see much point in it personally, it is mostly always on show if around your wrist.
