Titanfall IMC Rising DLC – First Details On New Map, Backwater

4.5
A solid launch date for Titanfall’s third DLC add-on, IMC Rising, is still up in the air, but developer Respawn Entertainment is dishing out details on the expansion’s first unveiled map, Backwater.

Originally based on early concepts for the game itself, work on Backwater was never quite completed in time for launch. Respawn says early fans may recognize the game’s first concept art with Nessie (Roger) serving as an inspiration for Backwater.

According to the studio, the map is defined by its elevation changes. Players will fight for high ground in the center of the map while Titans battle in the open rice paddies. Underground grain storage facilities will allow Pilots to move from hardpoint to hardpoint while avoiding the heat above ground. In addition, ziplines will give pilots a better option to cross “no-man’s land” quickly, areas of the map between two lines of combat that lack any sort of cover.

The official description of Backwater reads: “High in the mountains, ex-IMC pilot Barker and his fellow colonists have made a comfortable living by producing moonshine in this hidden bootlegging colony.”

I still remember right before release how excited everyone was for this game and now no one even cares. The game has completely died out and now all the hype has gone to Destiny. Let's see how many die hard Destiny fans there are in a few weeks time. Not going to surprise me if, or when Destiny dies down.

This game really really needs something to get it back on it's feet. To be honest, I don't think dlc is going to do it.

Ache Too bad the game has died out.. Not very many people play it anymore.

It was all the hype at school and all on the release week and now no one plays it.

If you play on xbox one you can still find a match.

I think they need something new to spark the game back off, then it will be good again.

vWatsonc I was playing this game today and it was great and I have fun with it but I dont think I will buy any of the DLC for it.

I stopped buying DLC for everything TBH it's getting past a joke these days releasing half a game for 50 then releasing DLC a week later.I remember when you actually used to get what you paid for.The more DLC people buy the worse it will get,but that's just me.

Well, that's video games for you. It's not entertainment anymore. It's about money.
