Minecraft PS4, launching today, PS Vita Still Incoming

The ever-growing, seemingly insatiable Minecraft family welcomes PlayStation 4 today, with a stateside PSN launch locked in for "before 12PM PT" (3PM ET.) Mojang's blocky world of creativity and creepers is already out on PS4 in Europe, as of late last night.

As we reported yesterday, the Xbox One launch is confirmed for tomorrow, September 5. Both the PS4 and Xbox One ports are features-wise on par with PS3/Xbox 360 editions, but the new hardware allows for worlds up to 36 times larger and greater draw distances.

I wonder if MS will remove MC from PS3 and PS4 now that they own it? Would be a pretty pathetic way for them to get more customers. MC is dead now anyway, I never even enjoyed it that much when it was 'popular'. I suppose it's nice for the MC fan boys who have gone next gen though.

I'm assuming this is because pc has mods?

most probably, mods for mine craft are awesome and it is not the same without them.

I meant from like Xbox One to 360 and PS4 to PS3. If you get what I mean.

No you cant play with people from cross gen. Like for example i have ps4...i wouldn't be able to play with my friends that still have ps3. Would be cool though

Good that they got it but to be honest it isnt that good on the consoles. I was very let down by this and how it all was.

Possibly won't be getting this since I've played on the PC minecraft and I just won't be able to play minecraft without mods again as it will feel to plain and simple.
