Xbox Live Experiencing Issues, PSN Attackers Taking Credit

4.5
Xbox Live is currently experiencing sign-in issues and those claiming responsibility for the earlier PSN attacks, and the bomb threat against a flight carrying Sony online president John Smedley are taking credit.

Is anyone having issues with the Xbox Live Login servers?
— Lizard Squad (@LizardSquad) August 24, 2014

The good news is, Microsoft is fully aware of the issue, and has this message posted on the Xbox Live status page:

Xbox members, are you having a hard time signing into Live? We’re aware of the issue and working hard to find a solution as quickly as possible. Thanks for being patient in the meantime. Please check back in a half hour for an update on our progress.

The issue does not appear to be entirely widespread. While I did have issues signing into Xbox Live with my Xbox 360, my Xbox One did not pose any problems.

Ache These people are attacking everything, if Valve is next I will die. I need my steam. D:

Steam will never get hacked, Just thinking that is giving me sickness. Valve will react in like 1 min the attack starts.

lolno

Steam constantly has connection issues under normal load as it is.

They go down for maybe an hour each week and it really does not effect much. You can still play the majority of your games online and even then there's still more clients like Origin and then standalone ones (LoL for instance). I believe the only thing that it effects is Valve games (Dota, TF2, CS:GO), community (friends list, etc.) and then the store.

LoL, these comments showexactly how lopsided this website is. The same people on here saying it's not a problem are the same ones bashing for PSN for the exact same problem.
It sure is nice to get a heads up when the next group to be targeted is in such a small target pool.

No problem with my XB1, so no complaints from me.

I just signed on and no issues for me, it says on the service alert page there are only issues for joining party chat on diablo III so maybe there's no more issues for anyone anymore?
