August's Xbox One update is out today

As detailed on Major Nelson's blog, this month's system update turns the activity feed into something akin to an incredibly specific Facebook feed (text-based posts, comments and likes all included), allows for mobile purchasing and remote downloading, adds a low controller battery alert, lets you kill notifications while watching video, adds a "last seen" timer to the Friends list and enables 3D Blu-Ray playback.

If you have automatic console updates turned on, your Xbox One should whir spookily to life at some point today - if not, you should be prompted upon turning it on again. Enjoy!

Doesn't seem anything I would see beneficial since I don't use Facebook anymore.

I think this would be good for people who have tons of friends but I only have about 10 so its not that big for me.

This has just been one of many in the last while... I'd have to say the low battery alert was a nice touch to the many features on the system.

Haven't been on Xbox recently but I will download the update once I get on, which will probably be tonight. It sounds like it will be a good update.

I agree, they are bringing a ton of great, new features to the consoles in these updates. I like them a lot.
