CoD Advanced Warfare to have a Traditional, Exoskeleton-less Playlist

4.4
According to Sledgehammer Games co-founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, Call of Duty fans who aren’t to keen on Advanced Warfare’s new exoskeleton-powered gameplay will still have something to look forward to when it launches this November.

Speaking to DvLZStaTion, Condrey explained that the studio is throwing a playlist into Advanced Warfare’s multiplayer that won’t feature the Exo Suit or any of its abilities, offering a more traditional Call of Duty multiplayer experience for those interested.

“…we also understand that some players may want to go back to a more traditional style,” he said. “So, there’ll be a traditional playlist where you can play Team Deathmatch, Domination, Capture the Flag, and others without Boost Jump, without your Exo. So, you and your friends who want to play that way, we’ll have a playlist just for you.”

Earlier, Condrey answered a few questions from curious fans about their shooter, talking about time-to-kill, the lack of any Dead Silence perk, dynamic maps, and more. He also revealed that Advanced Warfare will have split-screen and 10 or 15 Prestige levels.

Does Advanced Warfare’s traditional playlist sound like your cup of tea, or are you excited to try out some of the new Exo Abilities? Maybe a mix of both?

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches November 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

While I am liking the exoskeleton, it is very thoughtful and smart to put in a playlist for those that don't want to use them. It may also be pretty fun to go into it from time to time just to check it out. Still looking forward to the exoskeleton though. I just hope I can get the controls don't without much issue.

Personally, I'm glad they've added this. I don't know why but I strongly disagree with the whole, exoskeleton idea. It's just a bad idea from beginning to end. Sure, it's something new but if they listened to the community a little; we want larger maps, vehicles, interactive environments. Not an exoskeleton. I can see myself spending 80% of my time in this playlist. I'm kinda' chuffed that they've implemented it back.

Terrible move. It's now been made obvious that the majority of this fan base don't want to play a game that requires any amount of skill, hence the crying about the exo suits.

Here's what's going to happen: kids will realize they can't just camp in the corner anymore and rack up easy kills. They'll realize the game actually takes skill to be good at due to the new movement mechanics, and they'll ditch the exo playlists altogether and stick to the traditional one. Resulting in all that innovation, creativeness, those mechanics, etc being completely USELESS since the playlist will be vacant due to actually having a skill curve.

Guarantee the traditional playlist will be more flooded than the exo playlist. Which would be completely counterproductive to even making this game in the first place.

"Herp derp I'm tired of COD being the same.." "Derp this game is too easy..." Finally they introduce a change of pace with new mechanics that widen the skill gap and it's a problem. Lol... Just lol...COD community at its finest. Bad move SH since this will essentially split the population.

Honestly if this game flops, this community better not ever cry about change again since as we can all see, we don't want it since we're tards who would prefer to get bent over the bed by paying 60 bucks for DLC every year. *facepalm*

Nice they actually listened to the community. Will probably sticking to that playlist to start If I even get it..

Yes lets just roll the dice and hedge our bets then.

Sounds like they are confused as to what they wanted to deliver and are just throwing as many hats into the ring as possible.

Why not just add in Zombie Aliens that are in Mechs and use Bows and arrows just to round it off.

I'm glad they added this the boost jump sounds annoying.

Glad they are listening to the community. But not sure how it will work out with the way the maps are made. I guess we will find out.

I will probably be staying in this playlist
