July Xbox One update arriving in 'the coming days'

Xbox One's July update will roll out in 'the coming days', introducing the ability to Snap the achievements app.

The release window was announced on Major Nelson, where a video outlining the changes was published.

Announced last month, the update will also introduce a double tap Snap feature, meaning players can Snap and Unsnap within games and applications without returning to the main menu or using voice commands.

According to reports last month, the update will usher in the ability to 'like' Game DVR clips. Options for users in New Zealand, Ireland and Austria to choose between English or German spoken language voice models will also be introduced.

The update follows last month's new additions, which included support for external hard drives.

does anybody know if we can use video playback using externals hard drives and memory sticks?

Rocky5 This update is not ready for release. (I'm on the beta)

The system is slow & freezes randomly when moving about the dashboard, also the home button has a huge delay when trying to exit a game or set focus back to a game when an app snapped.

With each update there bogging the system down & its becoming a chore to use the damn dashboard & its functions.

They also don't listen to the countless threads on the beta forums.

I would somewhat agree. The snapping achievements is cool but annoyingly slow and just getting to the home screen sometimes takes centuries..

The new achievement snap mode is going to be a crazy update. Helping us focus on the achievements that matter the most!
