Major League Gaming app released for Xbox One

4.7
The official Major League Gaming app has been released for Xbox One, Microsoft has confirmed.

The app allows Xbox Live users to watch MLG events live and other content streamed directly to their console.

The app arrives just in time for the start of the latest MLG Championships, which take place in Anaheim, California, June 20-22.

Over 1000 gamers will be competing for a share of a total prize pool of $150,000, with heats in games including Call of Duty: Ghosts, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Microsoft introduced major policy changes in June that mean it will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription for users to access Netflix and other entertainment apps.

Maggardo I don't really care about Major League Gaming, or MLG for short. So I won't get this app either way.

No one really cares if you like MLG or not.

Why would you post then if it doesn't pertain to your interests?

He is posting his opinion about the article? He isn't really looking forward to it. No need to get defensive.

This is a great idea on Microsoft's part since many of their buyers enjoy watching the MLG circuit. I wonder when Sony will do something like this, if they even do.

Dwarfs Finally, dont need to use my computer to do this! Great feature I gotta say!

I agree but I did like using my computer because if the event getting streamed gets boring then I could go on ttg and other stuff...

Anyone know if it's on the 360 already?

I would still prefer watching MLG on my computer, it lets me do other things while i watch it like go on ttg rather than just sit in front of the TV like it is a movie. But non the less good to see an MLG app.
