Rumor: Battlefield Hardline beta lined up for PS4

EA is bringing a beta of Battlefield Hardline to PS4, if an IGN report proves accurate. The site said it learned readers had received PS4 beta codes from Sony after they'd RSVP-ed attendance to one of the company's E3 screenings at cinemas. According to their reports, the beta grants access to two game modes and a map called "High Tension." Additionally, an unnamed IGN source said the beta is indeed coming to the Sony system.

News of a possible console beta isn't surprising following yesterday's leaked video, the latest in what's been a Titanic old time for the EA shooter. The video, pulled by EA, showed alleged footage of a PC beta, and it followed last week's spring of assets and an internal, six-months-old trailer.

It's now confirmed Visceral Games is leading Battlefield Hardline development on both single-player and multiplayer, with series studio DICE assisting. The crime-centric game launches this fall, while EA will finally showcase it officially at next week's E3 conference.

I hope that this beta goes a lot better then the Titanfall beta went. I really think that betas for games this big don't work out that well because too many people want to be part of the beta and this leads to codes being sealed or too many people on the server and then end up making it an open beta. If it is an open beta it would be really cool to see more gameplay from the player's side instead of the developers side like we do at E3.

Battlefield is great. I got really into it today for my first time. i've had the game for my PS4 for a while.. But now, I think I really like this game.

I've got a PS4 and there is a hugely limited amount of games right now but I 100% won't be buying this. After Bad Co. was released, BF went downhill. The originals were good but after that, I started to hate the series. In fact, I even prefer CoD to BF.

I was extremely disappointed with the Battlefield 4 beta. It was unplayable the first time I attempted to play it.

Hopefully this one will be better and the final game too. Looking forward to see what PS4 players have to say about it once they are able to try it out.

Same i'm glad the developers are offering beta periods as it can prevent a lot of glitches in the official release! :)

I just hope Ea doesn't rush Dice again with the game.

It will be on Xbox one. All the articles are stating is there is a ps4 beta coming. EA would release the first chance they got for pc. So no matter what its coming to PC. And Microsoft has thrown money at ea for the past 4 years. and Sony like the article has already stated is giving out codes.
