Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare to get microtransactions soon

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will receive an update adding microtransactions, a spokesperson from PopCap Games has confirmed.

Writing on publisher Electronic Arts' website, PopCap Games producer Brian Linley said the new functionality will be available this week.

The update will allow users to purchase in-game coins with real currency in the Sticker Shop. A variety of packs and character content will be available, all of which is available to unlock free should the player choose to do so.

"Now you have the choice to play your way; you can play to get new packs and content via earned coins in the game, or you can purchase coins to get more of the packs and content you want right away," Linley wrote.

The producer also detailed a list of changes ushered in with the recent Zomboss Down DLC pack, including increases in gold rewards for certain activities and achievements, as well as small balancing updates.

The free DLC pack also added a western-themed map, eight new character variants, and an increased level cap.

FaIIen These are either very helpful or very annoying.


Some people like them, some don't. Most of the time people don't like microtransactions is because sometimes it will turn out to be a "play to win" type of deal, where if you buy things, you can end up above people that you wouldn't pass so fast.

as much as I hate microtransactions, This is pointless, Earning coins in Plants VS Zombies Garden warfare is too easy, In about 3 games of Gardens and Graveyards I have 40k. Whoever will buy this microtransactions is stupid.

The game is $30 for 360 ps3 and $40 for x1 and ps4. You didn't pay 60, heck you probably don't have it comment spammer


I live in Australia and I had to pay $59.99 for it, so no he isn't lying
