Facebook removing messaging from main mobile apps

Facebook has revealed that it is opting to completely remove the messaging portion from their main mobile applications. What this means for users is being forced into using two separate applications to actually use Facebook in a meaningful manner. At the moment our sources only indicate that iOS and Android users are slated to receive these changes while both Windows Phone and tablet users will continue to enjoy messaging in the base Facebook application.

don't really use facebook that much any more tbh it's gone downhill imo. seems a shame for people that use this though

Facebook has been slowly rolling downhill for a long time. But even though I don't really use FBI very much, I'm still going to update to get rid of that dumb red badge.

Then after that, a separate app for uploading pictures.

I really don't even message on the mobile version so this doesn't really affect me. I assume this is just going to be a move for more money on facebook's part.

I already thought facebook was as low as it could go but clearly I was wong. This is pathetic.
