DualShock 4 lightbar dimming planned for PS4 update

4.7
An upcoming PlayStation 4 firmware update will allow users to dim the DualShock 4's color-changing lightbar.

Sony Computer Entertainment president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida corrected a tweet from GameTrailers journalist Geoff Keighley which said users would be able to turn off the bar entirely.

The PS4 camera can use the DualShock 4's lightbar to track its position in play. Games like Thief, Killzone Shadow Fall, and Transistor also use the light bar to convey extra information outside of the screen.

Sony says it has sold about 900,000 PS4 cameras, though supply constraints have severely limited sales of the peripheral.

Upcoming updates to the console will also improve its sharing and streaming options, and Infamous studio Sucker Punch says support for pre-loading downloadable games will be added in April.

-Dropz This light may or may not be annoying to some people's eyes. It hurts mine lol

how does it hurt you? you don't even see the lightbar on the controller when you play unless you play with the controller backwards?

Lol.
It's no way it can hurt due to it being on the front of the controller.
