Project Morpheus revealed by Sony at GDC

PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has officially revealed the PS4's virtual reality headset currently codenamed "Project Morpheus" at GDC late yesterday. Yoshida brought an end to months of rumors about the supposed device when he formally announced the device. The currently released technical specifications can be found below with further official comments.

3D audio support
'Social Screen feature' mirrors experience onto TV (Allows for unique asymmetric gameplay)
3 meter working volume
Supports 'forward prediction'
DualShock 4 and PS Move compatible

Direct on-board audio jack for headphones
No weight placed on nose or cheeks

That's really amazing, they're using the light detectors (can't remember what they're called) instead of IR like the Oculus. Brilliant.

I wonder how much it will cost, I say it's gonna cost a lot of money for this.
I probably won't get it because I like to just play with a controller, and TV screen.

ImHut People say without the controller it won't feel like gaming, tell that to PC players..

A PC gamers controller, is the keyboard and mouse.

I honestly don't want virtual reality. I love having just the controller and doing everything by hand.
