Titanfall open beta 'possible', says community manager

Game currently in limited alpha trial period ahead of March release

Respawn Entertainment hasn't ruled out a Titanfall open beta, according to Abbie Heppe, community manager for both the studio and the upcoming game.

Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella said in December that Respawn is considering a Titanfall beta.

The studio is currently running what it has called "a limited technical test" for the game on Xbox One. It is unclear how many users have been invited to this alpha trial.

Publisher EA has confirmed a Titanfall release date of March 11, 2014 in North America and March 13 in Europe. The title will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Officially revealed at E3 in July 2013, Titanfall went on to be named Best of Show at the E3 Game Critics Awards.

Stedos I do like game designers who release beta's. Shows that they care if the game has bugs/glitches, so they can fix them!

Also like that it's going to be released on PC. I'll definitely be checking it out!


When I join the master race this is the first game I'm getting! But for now I'm gonna get it on the 360 :p

That's great that it is releasing on the 360. I am glad there is some new releases on the 360, still. I could do with a change of game. :D

You can't really "hop in" on it you have to be chosen. Only so many people got chosen to play. I actually got chosen to test this awesome game. I have to say this game is crazy awesome.


I think I recall a post saying he got chosen, otherwise he wouldn't say he'd hop on xD
