4J Studios hopes to release the latest title update this week

4J Studios has published a list of fixes included in upcoming Minecraft PS3 patch 1.03.

The studio said on Monday that the patch is currently being tested by Sony, and that it hopes to release it "before next week".


PS3 patch 1.03 fixes

Fix for issue in multiplayer/splitscreen which could cause save file corruption.
Fix for memory issue causing random game freezes and exits to XMB.
Fix for being unable to join games at times ("The host has exited the game" message incorrectly being displayed).
Fix for splitscreen crash on adding a player when language is Russian.
Fix for issue which can prevent leaderboard updates and some trophy awards.
Fix for issue causing "No DLC offers available" message when converting trial to full version.
Fix for game render glitch when a new streaming music track starts up.
Fix for a lighting issue on a network client.
Fix for the block damage decal being incorrectly offset
Fix for selected item text not fading off screen if a menu is opened when it's visible.
Fix for "Where are we now" music disc
Fix for issue with Ghasts firing at certain angles
A few rendering performance improvements

The PS3 version of Minecraft was released in mid-December and went on to top the PS3 download charts in both Europe and North America.

This seems like a really simple bug patch there aren't really any huge bugs in this game, it is going to be cool to see when they add more items into the game.

Because MC for console isn't that big of a deal anymore.

Because Minecraft was never on console before it came to Xbox.

Because it went through the grinder with both Xbox and PC, and it's nothing new.

Laze I literally cannot stand this game, I didn't get what they hype was even about?


I personally think it is a good game, it's mainly the creative aspect that appeals to most people, building your own structures, creating your own world etc.


Yah I really like building cool houses and towns and trying to survive.


I'm glad that Sony users are getting an opportunity to play MC if they don't have PC. It is really a great game. There is endless things you can do while playing.
