Next-gen versions reportedly listed on Bethesda's website, imminent announcement also teased

Bethesda may be planning to release The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Xbox One and PS4

OnlySP captured a screenshot of Bethesda's Skyrim website showing next-gen versions of the game listed alongside the existing Xbox 360, PS3 and PC editions.

It's unclear if the listing, which has since been removed, was an error or an inadvertent early reveal, but we've contacted Bethesda for clarification.

Adding fuel to the fire, a number of European Reddit users have reported receiving an email from Bethesda teasing a "very special announcement" this Sunday, January 12.

Skyrim launched in November 2011 and went on to win multiple Game of the Year awards. In June 2013, Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. The product features the main game as well as DLC packs Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

Two months prior to the release of Legendary Edition, Bethesda said the Skyrim development had moved on to its next project after more than 16 months of post-release support for the title.

Regardless, it is made in the Fallout font. I have never seen the Elder Scrolls series use that once. If it's a real announcement and not a hoax, I'm betting it's something regarding Fallout.


It could possibly be about Fallout. Something seems a bit odd about it if you ask me.

Maybe Fallout 4 will be coming out after all.

Now this is something that i would like to see. Skyrim has to be one of my favorite games on the Xbox 360 and i would love to play it on the PlayStation 4.

Really? Not even seen gameplay? Maybe you should rent it first and get a feel for it, it's a brain teaser for newbies, it was for me anyways.

That would be alright, I just stopped playing Skyrim when I had finished the majority of the missions and built all my houses. Would be good to see better graphics and maybe voice commands ;D

It's a really fun game with a lot to due, I'd highly recommend picking up a copy when it's released on the Xbox One.
