'Minecraft' creator says no plans for a Wii U version

Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson addressed recent rumors Friday that a Wii U version of the popular open-world sandbox game was in the works. While he did put the kibosh on the rumor, he did leave a glimmer of hope for owners of the Nintendo console.

"I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft," Persson stated on Twitter account.

"I agree a Wii U version would make sense, [by the way]," the Mojang co-founder continued. "The only reason for no current plans is we've got too much work already. I

Yes, thats most likely their exact reasoning also combined with the fact that its on many other consoles Maybe it will be released in the future?

Thats true, but they wouldn't make as much money, I see where you're coming from but it would be a better idea to add extensions to the newer consoles instead

Pittsburgh It wouldn't be a good profit. Not many people even have a Wii U anymore.


They released for PS3, I've seen profit for that. Not so much for Wii :/
