GTA Online weekend event: GTA$ 1 million competition, discounts & more

Grand Theft Auto Online developer Rockstar North is holding a weekend event starting today, December 20. The developer is offering discount vehicles and a will grant five job creators GTA$ 1 million for their efforts.


Details of the event were posted over on the Rockstar News Wire today. It’ll run from today, December 20 until close of play December 22.

For starters, you can buy the Adder sports car, Dinka Double-T bike and Buzzard chopper at 25% off.

Player-created Deathmatch and Race events can be entered free of charge all weekend, and Rockstar will be hand-picking five created jobs and awarding their creators GTA$ 1 million in prize money for their efforts. They’ll also receive an exclusive vanity license plate.

There’s also a new round of GTA Online sweepstakes with real and in-game prizes.

As in 1 million dollars, they mean in game currency right? If so, I already have like 10 million plus all of everything that I could ever want.

Oasis Good idea except most people have millions in the bank already thanks to generous hackers/glitch shares.

I sold this game and I'm glad i did, I now hear they removed the rat loader for stupid reasons, GTA is supposed to be a sandbox do-what-the-hell-you-want game but all it's been so far is a limited half finished product.

In a way I hope this new event brings down their severs again like it did last time, then maybe more people will realise how fragile this game still is.


Haha this game is a good game. The glitches/hacks is what ruined it. But I have a new character and playing again and all is good and dandy. Fun for me still. And I don't see how it was "unfinished" everything they bring out is "add-ons" never hear of that term?

I was wondering why the Adder is only $750,000. It seems pretty cool they would do this.

1 million is nothing even if you play legit with no glitches or hacks. At least 50mil
