An Xbox One Achievement That People Are Selling On Ebay

4.5
They say that everything has a price—and this axiom apparently includes Xbox One achievements, judging from recent eBay listings.

Thing is, these achievements are extra special—they come bundled with the limited number of 'Day One' editions of the Xbox One. As the name suggests, these are consoles made to commemorate the launch of the Xbox One. Only those that pre-ordered this version of Xbox Ones will get the special 'Day One' achievement.

Unless, of course, you buy it. The achievement comes in the form of a code, which anyone can redeem—naturally, they've shown up on eBay.

There is absolutely no point paying $30-$50 for an achievement, lol.

Who would buy something that gives you nothing at all like come on people haha.

I am surprised that the codes ended up selling for a considerable amount ranging from $20-50. In my opinion there really wasn't any point in buying the code, sure there is a limited amount, but who really cares?

Kex I know I wouldn't pay $50 for an achievement lol

I don't think i would pay that high for an achievement either.

fex Crafty peoples on the internet! ;p

I wouldn't say crafty, they just got their console, and want to make some money from, if I was them I would of waited until like Christmas, they could probably get a steal on the achievement, you know how people are during Christmas, they pay like $10 more than they need to.

My friend bought two xbox's one to keep and one to double on eBay. I have also seen people selling the boxes and packaging lol!

Yeah exactly an Xbox One will, and could go for 1/2 its price, like $750 I already seen some of them go over that amount, so by Christmas would be the time to actually sell the Xbox One.

It's crazy the demand on these consoles as well as these extras you get with the day one edition!

Put it this way they auctioned off the "I made this" Xbox One and went for $11K, and I have heard some players(buyers) received an exclusive "White Xbox Controller" with their console, and they might go for 10 times the average price of a regular controller, people get crazy with their consoles, and accessories.

I'm just hoping that the price of games will die down. I mean 60 for a game is nuts!

I highly doubt that they will be going down, Microsoft rarely gives out deals on Xbox Games, considering that the developers need to in fact agree as well.

When the PS3 first came out games were 60, now all new games in stores are 45 so hopefully next gen will do the same come this time next year

ext How much could the achievement give in gamerscore?

Probably like 100 or 1337 would be cool

I don't think they would give more than 100 gamerscore for a "Day One" achievement. 1000 would be a possible exaggeration...

You get 1000 gamerscore of it i think.

I don't know, I am pretty sure a member of the site had to at least get the achievement with their Xbox One, but 1000 Gamerscore is quite a bit.

I know that games now have a minimum of 100 achievements so it looks like MS are trying to give more gamerscore out

I mean I suppose 1000 Gamerscore will be a little bit worth it, but it wouldn't possess me to spend $500 for the Xbox One, or $30 for the Achievement itself.
