PS4 system update 1.51 coming soon

Sony will release PS4 system update 1.51 imminently.

According to Eric Lempel, VP of Sony Network Entertainment, the mandatory update improves system software stability and makes small UI refinements "such as clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time".

Lempel also notes that automatic downloads for system and game updates are enabled by default when PS4 is in stand-by mode.

PS4 launched in North America on November 15 ahead of the European and Latin American PS4 release date of November 29. PS4 sales hit one million units in the console's first 24 hours of availability.

I wonder if they'll continue to push HDCP protection. I don't really understand why they don't open up and allow easy access for content creators.

There were bugs to fix, so they managed to put together a quick fix.

Apparently the update fixed a fair lot, there will undoubtedly be some more issues to arise though


I heard the update fixed everything :) but yeh there will probably more faults sooner or later :(

More bugs are bound to emerge with the PlayStation 4, hopefully they will not be as severe as the ones that i have heard about thus far though

Gossip Hopefully gets rid of some of the issues. But there really shouldn't be anything wrong with it seeing as it just came out.


I agree but big electronics always have a few bugs here and there after they are released.

Well i highly doubt that all of the issues will be fixed, a fair few will be fixed up though
