Foxconn intern claims PS4 was sabotaged during manufacturing

4.4
According to a snapshot of a deleted forum post, interns at a Foxconn manufacturing plant in Yantai, China have deliberately sabotaged the PS4 citing working conditions at the plant.

The allegations first appeared on the IGN forums, which was locked shortly after. The author then tried to elaborate Below is a snapshot of the actual post

The intern noted that because Foxconn didn’t treat them well, they didn’t treat the PS4 well. Stating: “The ps4 console we assemble can be turned on at best.” which may explain the pulsing blue light issues that many people have experienced, mainly on Amazon shipments where about 33% of the total verified reviewers have reported the issue.

Although these claims cannot be verified, it's no secret that Foxconn has been in the news frequently for their alleged mistreatment of workers, and possibly comes as no surprise that this sort of retaliation is an easy thing for workers to carry out on the Day One release of the console.

In any case, we'll be keeping an eye out for any sort of verification on these claims as Sony investigates the issue themselves.

Katsumi I'm glad that i didn't pre-order and buy one initially. I'll wait it out for around a year and see how things go

Or until Christmas. They will fix it by then.

I can only hope. I think they should be fixed around then but i would like to be sure that nothing else major occurs with the PS4
Neither company can afford to give out faulty during the christmas season...

MrDeaan I wonder what employee though it would be funny to do this
Not exactly funny, more serious actually. They were being treated unfairly at ridiculous (presumption) wages...

Foxconn makes Microsoft products too, as well as Apple and various others. The people there don't get paid much (if they get paid at all), Students HAVE to work there (for free) in order to graduate from school and go to college which the students still have to pay for, and people who work at Foxconn tend to kill themselves (no joke). Whether it's workers rebelling or students not knowing what they're doing, it's not Microsofts fault. But like I said they make Xbox's as well, so who knows if the same thing will happen with them.

Pukes I genuinely think Microsoft are to blame for this one. In their eyes, "it's just business", and we know the risk of business.

Please get out of your cave, breathe fresh air, absorb sunlight. And get the right info because your answer far surpasses any idiotic claim you wish to tell. Guiness will be knocking on your door soon for world record of the stupidest living creature on the face of this planet.

They may be rival companies but neither would go that far

I feel like Sony should take all the blame for this its there console so its not really any other company's problem that had a hand in making the ps4, Sony should of watch closer.
