New Xbox One commercials target football, zombie fans

4.7
Microsoft has released a fresh pair of Xbox One TV commercials.

According to NeoGAF users, the Dead Rising 3 advert below was aired on Sunday during AMC's The Walking Dead, while the second commercial was shown during NBC's NFL Sunday Night Football.

Microsoft has confirmed a Xbox One release date of November 22, 2013 in 13 markets and a Xbox One price of £430 / $500 / $500.

The platform holder has also signed up England football captain Steven Gerrard and Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto for its Xbox One marketing campaign, which kicked off in late October.

The advertising blitz is designed to position the console as an all-in-one entertainment system and invites consumers to "jump ahead" to the next console generation by joining the Xbox One party. Spanning TV, cinema, radio, digital, social and retail marketing, the cost of the campaign will reportedly exceed $100 million (£62m).

Exactly.
Hit the teenage crowd with Zombies and hit the adult male crowd with football.

Potion These are better than the Xbox 360 commercials i used to see, they were pretty awful.

The type of people that play Xbox has changed quite a bit since then, so of course the marketing will be a bit different.

Lets not mention that due to the emergence of new technology Microsoft are able to create higher quality commercials for their products.

Not only that, but MS basically has a endless budget to create only the best commercials for their products.

Konviicted This better meet or exceed expectations, because I'm expecting this to be absolutely amazing. Seems like it gets better with every video I watch.

I think they exceeded expectation with this game.
I didn't like Dead Rising 2 that much but I cannot play this game enough.

Cyimking People are still going to buy Madden ... so idek why the needed to push out a commercial for it. Madden just haven't got to the level of 2k NBA games yet. Why? Well they have no competitor. I was never a fan of NFL 2k but madden isn't going to be extremely realistic until they come back.

Because it is marketing.
Reminding them of how good the game is going to be. Commercials work more than you think.

They know how to market.
Football and Zombies is one of the most popular topics within the last 5 years.

I like the His & Hers commercial best.
